Try to designate a specific spot at home as your study space. This will ensure all of your materials and supplies are in one space, and distractions will be kept to a minimum. If possible, try to separate your study space from where you sleep, watch t.v., etc.
Keep your study space neat and organized. A clean and tidy study space will help alleviate stress and distractions.
Make it personal and comfortable. If the chair you use gives you back pain, it will be considerably more difficult to get your work done. Make sure you are physically supported and feel good in your space. Use a good desk and ensure you have adequate lighting. Add some personal touches like photos or artwork that make the space positive and one that reflects YOU.
Always have your schedule and course syllabi on hand. Your study space should boost productivity. Having a schedule/calendar and your course syllabi closeby will help you stay on track and meet your course deadlines.
